Carroll County Judge-Executive Harold “Shorty” Tomlinson has declared the county in a state of emergency due to recent flooding that occurred on May 1.
“We were spared a lot of harm,” Tomlinson said during last week’s meeting of Carroll County Fiscal Court. “We’re still doing some assessment” to see how extensive the damage was. “The Happy Hollow area had some flooding. We had some cleanup in Worthville right after that.”
