Track and field competes in first indoor meet of season

The Carroll County Panthers started the 2012 Season off with their first indoor meet at Mason County Indoor on Saturday, Feb. 10.

Head coach Joe Creager said it was a great showing for five of the young Panthers. Each individual scored points for the team, with Raven Labrada scoring 10 for the boys and Taylor Baker scoring 5 on the girls side.

The boys finished fourth overall, while the girls finished fifth. Carroll’s next meet is Saturday, Feb. 17 at Mason County. 

Girls results: Taylor Baker, sixth in long jump and 18th in 55 meter dash; and Jessie Smith, seventh in long jump and 19th in 55 meter dash.

Boys results: Raven Labrada, sixth in shot put, ninth in long jump and 18th in 400 meter dash; Andres Baquero, 10th in long jump and 21st in 400 meter dash; and Cody Osborne, 13th in 55 meter dash and 22nd in 400 meter dash.
