Destiny Tingle finished in first place in the girls’ pole vault at the NCKTC Conference championship meet at Henry County Thursday. The rest of the meet will be held May 12 at Walton-Verona.
Tingle vaulted 6 feet, 6 inches. Coach Joe Creager said there has been a boys’ pole vault in the past, but he was unable to find any record for the girls. “That makes Destiny’s accomplishments very exceptional, putting her in the top 18 in the state, also a new school record.”
