Border rivals Carroll County Panthers and Trimble County Raiders faced off on the tennis court and the Panthers suffered a loss with less than solid play.
The team played on their home court Monday, May 4 and went 2-3.
Josh Kates, a senior, had an uncharacteristic loss. The number one singles player dominated his first set, but had trouble maintaining that blistering pace, according to Fernandez.
Josh McCarty, an eighth grader played a very good match and has a very bright future as a number one singles player, Fernandez said.
