Trimble County High School seniors Christian Courtney and Cory Turner signed letters of intent Friday, May 16 at the high school.  They will play basketball this fall for NAIA Division 1 Lindsey Wilson College.

They chose Lindsey Wilson “because coming from a smaller high school,” said TCHS basketball coach Bob Lauster, “they should transition well to a smaller college.  Also helping in the transition will be the fact that several other classmates from TCHS have also signed with Lindsey Wilson, he said.

Both Courtney and Turner plan on reporting to college this fall to begin conditioning and classes.

Courtney, who Lauster stated “is very athletic. I’ve never had a kid who could jump like he can,” will probably train more as a shooting guard as well as power forward.

Turner, “a student of the game, who works very hard,” stated Lauster, will probably work at the positions of shooting and point guard.
