BauerFinancial, Inc., Coral Gables, Fla., the nation’s leading bank rating and research firm, recently announced that United Citizens Bank and Trust, based in Campbellsburg, has not only endured the latest financial crunch, but has emerged as a preeminent example of community banking.
BauerFinancial bestowed its highest 5-Star Superior rating on United Citizens Bank and Trust. This rating denotes the highest level of strength and performance that a bank can receive, according to a Bauer news release.
United Citizens Bank and Trust has earned this 5-Star rating for the last 72 consecutive quarters putting it in an even more elite group of “Sustained Superiority Banks.” Only 9 percent of the nation’s banks can claim this distinction.

Dorway, president of the research firm, said. “Suffice it to say that with its impressive capital levels, an enviable loan portfolio and low delinquent loan levels, United Citizens Bank and Trust demonstrates the epitome of community banking.”
