Veterans oppose street name change; Schuerman selected for entire street

Veterans wanting to preserve the honor provided to one of their own led city leaders to vote down a street name change leading to the high school.

Carrollton City Council unanimously voted down an ordinance naming the road connecting 11th Street to the entrance of Carroll County High School on Hwy. 227 Panther Way, instead conducted the first reading of a new ordinance to keep the name Schuerman Street.

A resolution was also unanimously passed to name the sidewalk trail connecting all of the schools Panther Way.
