Intrigued by the plans to replace the superstructure of the Milton-Madison Bridge?
You’re in luck.
The new web cam set up by Walsh Construction is now live on the project website, MiltonMadisonBridge.com. The camera, mounted on a pole on Vaughn Drive in Madison, Ind., faces east toward Milton and snaps one photo every 15 minutes – day and night – of the entire span.
The site features a calendar that allows web-cam visitors to go back in time to see photos from previous days, said Aaron Stover, project manager for Michael Baker Inc. architects, the firm overseeing the design process. It also provides a time-lapse feature, which, as the project progresses, will allow viewers to watch construction of the entire span from start to finish.
Additionally, visitors can e-mail, save or print individual shots, and even send copies to their mobile phones.
Next week, Walsh will begin to build a causeway from the Madison side out into the river, so that barges can deliver equipment and building materials to the staging area at Jaycee Park.
