Trimble County Arts Council free acrylic painting demonstration and lecture has been rescheduled for Mar. 27 from 1-3 p.m. Artist Merle Rosen will lead the class designed for beginners and advanced practicing artists. Participants will receive a free gift packet containing hand painted color charts and a bag of products, compliments of Golden Artists Colors. Tuesday, Feb. 23

HJW and Metro United Way will be providing Free Tax Preparation Services from 9 a.m. to noon to seniors 60 and older and any family with a household income under $49,000. All returns are prepared by IRS Certified VITA/TCF Volunteer Preparers. These services include free tax preparation, electronic filing and direct deposit.The preparers will be at Tri-County CAA, 3240 North Highway 421 on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 from 9 a.m. until 12 noon.
