Walk for Wellness will kick off at the 4-H Shelter at the Trimble County Park at 9 a.m. Everyone who participates will receive a free pedometer and insulated lunch bag. The walk will be every Monday, Wednesday and Friday until the grand finale on Oct. 7th. For more information call the Trimble County Extension office at 502-255-7188.

Trimble County Seniors will enjoy a Hawaiian Party at the Oldham Center from 10:30-2 p.m.

Trimble County Board of Education meets at 7 p.m. at the board Administration Office.

Henry County Public Schools is pleased to host John Halligan’s presentation for parents entitled “Bullying, Cyberbullying and Teen Depression” from 7 - 8:30 pm at Henry County High School. Parents from all neighboring counties are welcome to attend.

Friday, Aug. 28

TheChurch of the Living God, Smith Lane, will celebrate its 10th anniversary weekend with the Rev. Jerry Cottrell speaking Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and at Sunday service at 6:30 p.m.

Morgan Community Center is taking reservations for the Trimble County Apple Festival Flea Market. Space is limited for the Sept. 11 & 12 event and cost is $20 for the weekend. Sept. 5-6

Trimble County Semi-Annual Swap Meet will be at the Milton City Park starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday. The Swap Meet is celebrating its 19th year and 37th meet. The first was held Sept. 21, 1991.


Sept. 12-13

Trimble County Apple Festival in the Trimble County courthouse square Saturday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday starts with an outside worship service at 11 a.m.-5 p.m.



The Six-county Historical Society meal and meeting has been canceled for August. The next meeting for the TC Historical Society is 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, in the meeting room of the TC Public Library.

JCTC Trimble County Adult Education offers the following free services: GED preparation, job skills upgrade, college preparation, brush up on academic skills, and Paraeducator Testing. The Learning Center is located behind Trimble County High School 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, Thursday evenings 5-7 p.m., and the first three Saturdays of each month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Evening classes are offered at Milton Christian Church on Mondays from 5-7 p.m.

Family Literacy is offered during our evening hours.
