Thursday, Jan. 14

The Milton-Madison Bridge Project team is hosting a public hearing from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Milton Elementary School. Anyone wishing to comment on the proposed bridge project is welcome to attend.

Monday, Jan. 18 – Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Trimble County Fiscal Court meets at 5:30 p.m. at the judge-executive’s office next to the courthouse.

Bedford City Commission meets at 7 p.m. at city hall, located in the Morgan Community Center on Victory Ave., Bedford.

Tuesday, Jan. 19

Trimble County Relay for Life will hold it’s 2010 kickoff meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Milton Lions Club on U.S. 421 North.

Wednesday, Jan. 20

Trimble CARES Coalition meets at noon at the Trimble County Family Resource and Youth Services Center. located in the back of Trimble County High School. Lunch is provided; please register by calling Marla or Denise at (502) 255-5110, Ext. 1044.

Thursday, Jan. 21

Milton City Commission will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. at city hall. The commission moved the meeting night to accommodate a Milton-Madison Bridge project public hearing set for the same date the commission normally meets.

Friday, Jan. 29

Trimble County High School Basketball Homecoming was rescheduled for tonight in the gymnasium. The Raiders face off against Eminence, starting with the freshmen at 5 p.m. and junior varsity at 6 p.m. Homecoming ceremonies start at 7 p.m., immediately followed by the varsity game at 7:30.

Trimble County Arts Council is sponsoring a free acrylic painting demonstration and lecture from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20. Artist Merle Rosen will lead the class designed for beginners and advanced practicing artists. Participants will receive a free gift packet containing hand painted color charts and a bag of products, compliments of Golden Artists Colors. The Trimble County Middle School is hosting a Health Fair from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for students, parents and the community. Screening, healthy lifestyle information and information about substance abuse prevention will be available. Door prizes will be awarded.
