Rand Insurance and Real Estate’s Relay for Life hosts a barbecue at 11 a.m. Orders accepted; $6 per plate. Proceeds benefit American Cancer Soceity.

Trimble County Lady Klunkers will host a Bunk-O tournament at Morgan Community Center at 7 p.m. Easy to learn. Refreshments and door prizes. $10; proceeds benefit Relay for Life. Ethan Smith will portray young Price Hollowell at 7 p.m. at the Trimble County Public Library. Hollowell was the “Black Patch War Hero” of Kentucky Tobacco War in 1907, when farmers boycotted the American Tobacco Company over low tobacco prices. This program is made possible with a grant from Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives for our library’s Young Adult History Series.

Trimble County Seniors Relay for Life team will hold a yardsale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Trimble County Park Shelter.

American Red Cross Blood Drive will be from 2:30-6:30 p.m. at Mount Byrd Christian Church in Milton.

Bedford Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a car wash and selling BBQ to raise money for Relay for Life starting at 10 a.m. Come enjoy some great food, have your car/truck washed and support your local Relay for Life.

Commoditieswill be distributed from 2-4 p.m. at the Senior Citizen’s Building at TC park.

Friday, May 28

Trimble County Public Library will host a reception for the Apple Tree Children from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Barefoot Best Friends string ensemble will perform. The exhibit runs through May.

 Saturday, May 29

Crossroads Church Relay for Life team will have a bike rally/car cruise 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. followed by hot dogs and hamburgers. Entry fee is cash donation; meal ticket, $5. Music, silent auction, door prizes and inflatables for the kids. Proceeds benefit Relay; rain date June 5.

Monday, May 31

The Rotary Club is holding a Memorial Day Observance at the Trimble county Courthouse May 31 at 10 a.m. The Boy Scouts will present flag, guest speaker Dennis Eldridge and music will be part of the event.

Wednesday, June 2

Trimble County High School will host its annual student Talent Show at 1 p.m. in the school gym.

Sunday, June 6

Trimble County High School hosts commencement for the Class of 2010 at 2 p.m. in the gymnasium.
