The Trimble County Hymn Sing is 7 p.m. at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church on Morton Ridge Road.


Sept. 3 -4

Milton Fire and Rescue Labor Day Weekend Fish Fry is 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day at Station 1. Fish, hot dogs, baked beans, coleslaw, dessert and soft drinks.


Sept. 4-5

Trimble County Semi-Annual Swap Meet at Milton City Park off State Hwy 36. Swap, sell or sometimes give away. Two days of fun, food and entertainment for the family. Space available. Call 502-255-7319 or 502-268-3152.

Wednesday, Sept. 8


Bedford Christian Church youth groups begin meeting. The group for kindergartners through fifth-graders will meet from 6-7 p.m. The group for sixth- through 12th-graders will meet from 7-8 p.m.


Sept. 10-11

Booth rentals for the Apple Fest Flea Market are $20 and goes to the Kid’s Café and Dare to Care Food Bank. The Market will be open from 9-5. Call Morgan Community Center at 255-4879 for information.

Saturday, Sept. 11

Christian Women’s FellowshipCommittee of Bedford Christian Church will hold a yard sale fund-raiser at the church from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sale items include fine hats worn by Jean Young.

The Jelly Bean Runmotorcycle ride to raise money for the Lide White Boys and Girls Club, Madison, Ind., begins registering participants from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at Bedford Loan and Deposit Bank. Riders will leave the bank parking lot at noon for a three-hour drive. A bike show follows at 3:30 p.m. during the Trimble County Apple Festival. Sept. 11-12

Trimble County Apple Festival around the Courthouse Square will feature food, fun and entertainment from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. There’s also an apple-pie baking contest, talent show and more.



Storytime begins in September for preschoolers ages 2-5 at Trimble County Public Library. Call (502) 255-7362 to register for Wednesdays or Thursdays at 10 a.m. or for first and third Tuesdays at 6:30 pm. Stories, crafts, songs.
