Woman’s Club holds meeting in Boone County

The Carrollton Woman’s Club had a fun day in Boone County at the historic Dinsmore Homestead on Burlington Pike, Tuesday, Oct. 11. Chief Executive Director Marty McDonald from the Dinsmore Home was host to five members and the Fifth District Governor Karen Moreland and the Fifth District Vice-Governor Karen Claiborne. A tour of the Dinsmore family home began at 11 a.m. Members saw the log cabin, out door kitchen with all its original furnishings intact and the gift shop. The main house was built in 1842 and was home to five generations.
