Woman’s club holds holiday luncheon

The Carrollton Woman’s Club met at General Butler State Resort Park Lodge at noon on Dec. 7, 2010, for the annual Christmas luncheon. Members Dorothy Buckner and Carolyn Stout served as hostesses and had decorated the tables with poinsettias and greenery. Guests of the club were Julie Lewis, Alice Long, Susan McEuen, Donna Parrish and Pat Perkins.

Karen Claiborne, Vice Governor of the district presided and members told what each remembered as Christmas memories during World War II.

Members enjoyed food and fellowship after which a drawing of door prizes was held.

The meeting closed after a reading of the Club Collect.

Members went to the mezzanine to view the collection of decorated Christmas Trees.

The next meeting will be held March 1, 2011, at the Carroll County Extension building, 500 Floyd Drive at 7 p.m.
