XC competes at Henry County

All of the junior varsity runners finished in the top 10 Tuesday, Sept. 18 as the Panther running team competed in an NCKC meet at Henry County.

The JV Panthers ran a one-mile course. Fifth grader Clara Tuttle finished in 4th place in the girls race with a time of 8:45.75, while sophomore Kristen Doan finished in 8th place with a time of 11:16.68.

Sophomore Josh Beach led the JV boys team with a 6th place finish and a time of 8:45.42. Eighth grader Matthew Beach finished right behind him in 7th with a time of 8:56.74. Freshman Alex Jeffrey finished in 10th with a time of 9:53.24.

Junior Austin Crowell led the boys varsity team with an outstanding run of 20:10.72, good enough for 5th place behind one of the strongest runners in the conference and in the state, Owen’s Hunter Trenary. Freshman Austin Crank finished in 16th with a time of 22:06.04, while junior Brad Osborne came in 18th place with a time of 22:58.42.
