Please let everyone know that on Thursday night, Oct. 29, St. John’s youth group will be going door to door from 6-8 p.m. for the second annual Trick-or-Treat for canned goods.

All donations of non-perishable food items are appreciated and will go to replenish the community food pantry.

Items especially in short supply are canned fruit, canned meat, peanut butter, jelly, crackers and cereal. Hunger is not just seen during the holidays. Our community food bank provides nourishment for, on average, 50-60 families each month. So, give out more than candy this Halloween.

When a teenager in a blue St. John shirt says “Trick-or-Treat” spare a can or two for Carrollton’s poor. If you are unavailable Thursday night, donations of food are always welcome at St. John’s Church on Fifth Street. Thank you and God Bless.
