    Carroll County 4-H, in partnership with Carroll County Schools and Champions for a Drug Free Carroll County will host a parent night called “Truth and Consequences,” a program geared toward parents to show the harsh truth of children making poor choices and getting involved in drugs and alcohol. This event will be held at 7 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 507 Fifth Street with special guest Mike Bosse. Open to the public.

    River Run Gallery Fun Art Studio, Main Street in Carrollton will host a benefit student art show/reception, 6-8 p.m. The public is invited to attend and vote for their favorite by putting money in a corresponding cup. When the show is over at the end of March, they will announce the winner. The Carroll County Animal Support will receive all funds raised. For more information call (502) 523-0663.

    Chris McDaniels will be the guest of the Carroll County Republicans at 7p.m. at the State Farm Building on Highland Ave. in Carrollton.They meet the fourth Thursday of each month and hope to have a different candidate at each of their meetings between now and May. The public is invited.

    West Carroll Water board meeting has been rescheduled due to weather for 5 p.m. at Carrollton Utilities.

    Champions for a Drug-Free Carroll County meets at 11:30 a.m. in the community room, Carroll County Public Library.

  • Community Calendar | Feb. 12, 2015

    Feb. 1-13: Artwork may be turned in to the Carrollton Library. The Greater Federation of Woman’s Clubs Kentucky is sponsoring it’s annual Student Art Contest. High School Students may enter art work in the categories of painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, computer design and crafts. Judging will take place Feb. 14. Artwork will remain on display for the remainder of the month.
