    Shop Small, the Sixth Annual Small Business Saturday to support small businesses will be held in downtown Carrollton. Founded by American Express, Small Business Saturday is a day to celebrate the small businesses that help support their neighborhoods and is held every year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It’s a part of the holiday shopping tradition. Each year shoppers, businesses and public officials come together to ShopSmall and show their neighborhood pride.

    Carroll County Animal Support meets at 6:30 p.m. at the second floor meeting room of the Carroll County courthouse.

    Carroll County Conservation District Board meets at 5 p.m. (winter) and 7:30 p.m. (summer) at the Conservation Office, 1802 Highland Ave.

    Tuesday, Nov. 10 - Carroll County Middle School eighth-graders will host an assembly at 9:30 a.m. in the auditorium. Veterans are invited to attend breakfast at 9 a.m.

    Tuesday, Nov. 10 - Carroll County High School will host its program at 1:30 p.m.

    Tuesday, Nov. 10 - Christian Academy of Carrollton will host its program at 6:30 p.m.

    Happy Hollow Resort and Gibson Farm Fun Days presents the Haunted Corn Maze, 10 acres of scary fun from 5-10 p.m. at Happy Hollow Resort off Hwy. 227 in Worthville. The cost is $5 per person and kids five years old and under are free.

    Friday, Oct. 23 

    River Run Gallery, 449 Main St. in Carrollton will hold a “Meet the Artists,” 5-8 p.m. There will be demonstrations from many of the artists, jewelry, drawing and painting demos. All artists are from a 50 mile radius.

    Champions For A Drug Free Carroll County hosts the “Hidden in Plain Site” trailer. A short program will be held at 3 p.m. at the downtown courthouse, followed by a walk through a trailer replicating a teenager’s bedroom. Participants are asked to find drug paraphernalia hidden in the room.
