  • Class of ‘62 reunites
  • Road Work in Carroll County | Oct.12, 2017

    The following road projects are occuring in Carroll County, according to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet:

     

    • KY 227 (Carrollton-Worthville Road) – A bridge maintenance project was scheduled to begin on KY 227 over Whites Run on Oct. 10. The project will include a new bridge deck overlay and bridge joint repairs.

  • Carroll County Public Library | Oct. 12, 2017

    The Carroll County Public Library is located at 136 Court Street in Carrollton. Every day after school, the community room is open to tweens and teens to relax, visit with friends and enjoy activities, snacks, games, movies, Netflix, etc. Virtual Reality games are popular and they will have new ones to try out, Monday through Friday from 3:30 – 5 p.m.

Breakfast is served 8 a.m. Monday and Wednesday, call to make a reservation, lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. each day, please call to make reservation to eat lunch the following day.

    Thursday, Oct. 12: Cards, games and color therapy, 8:30 a.m.; arthritis exercise, 9:30 a.m.; Bingocize, 10:30 a.m.; lunch, 11:30 a.m.; chair volleyball, cards and games, 12:30 p.m.; shopping Walmart, Kroger and pay bills, 1:30 p.m.

  • Caby M. Froman Club learns about the Presbyterian Church, history of Ghent

    The Caby M. Froman Club August meeting was held at General Butler State Resort Park with Ms. Julia Tharp Steelman serving as hostess.

    Club president Sandra Scott Thomas welcomed everyone to the meeting and opened the meeting by reading a poem by James Tandy Ellis, author and well known resident of Ghent, which was titled “Old Ghent Bank.”

  • NKADD introduces new board

    The Northern Kentucky Area Development District introduced new incoming board members at its Annual Meeting Sept. 28, at Elk Creek Vineyards.

    The incoming officers are as follows:

    • Chair – Lewis Diaz, Boone County Citizen Member and Partner, Dinsmore & Shohl, LLP

    • Vice-Chair – Mayor Rick Skinner, City of Williamstown

    • 2nd Vice Chair – Judge/Executive Kris Knochelmann of Kenton County

    • Treasurer – Judge/Executive Casey Ellis of Owen County
