On July 26, the descendants of Ernst and Mary E. (Buscher) Raker are gathering for a reunion picnic at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, in Hunter’s Bottom, Hwy. 36, in Carroll County. Come about 11 a.m. and eat around noon.
Please bring some goodies to share and any historical mementos of the family to “show and tell.”
Any descendants of Johann and Clara (Buscher) Strautmann and Henry and Marie (Buscher) Titkemeyer are invitred. Other Buscher families also welcome.
Carroll County Arts Board will hold its second annual Progressive Dinner Saturday, July 19. Tickets are $30 and will be on sale at The News-Democrat and from Patricia Hersey at the Carroll County Public Library.
Children living at the Housing Authority of Carrollton have the opportunity to partcipate in crafts, food and other activities every Wednesday in June and July at the housing authority office. Executive Director Ray Clem and his staff, in cooperation with Carroll County 4-H Agent Joyce Doyle, 4-H members, members of the Extension Homemakers, Fairview Place manager Chet Mitchell and community members are sponsoring the program.
