  • Carrollton art gallery hosts student art show March 12

    River Run Gallery Fun Art Studio in Carrollton will host a benefit student art show/reception from 6-8 p.m.  Thursday, March 12. Students who have attended classes at the gallery in the last eight months can enter up to two pieces of their art.  Art must arrive in the gallery by March 7. 

  • How to identify drug evidence in child’s room

    Carroll County 4-H, in partnership with Carroll County Schools and Champions for a Drug Free Carroll County, will host “Truth and Consequences,” a program geared toward eighth-graders to show the harsh truth of making poor choices and getting involved with drugs and alcohol.

    A parent night will be held at 7 p.m. March 19, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, with special guest Mike Bosse. This event is open to the public.

    During Red Cross Month in March, the American Red Cross reminds eligible blood donors that by donating blood, donors can become a hero for patients in need.

    Red Cross Month is dedicated to the everyday heroes who support the Red Cross mission by giving blood, volunteering their time, learning lifesaving skills or making a financial contribution.
