Amy L. Eversole has joined the Carrollton office of James & Wells, P.S.C.
Eversole graduated from Henry County High School in 2002. She then earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Louisville in 2006 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville in 2011. She has been licensed to practice in Kentucky since 2011 and in Indiana since 2012.
Jeffery Dailey, formerly of Carrollton and a chef at Louisville’s fine dining, Corbett’s Restaurant, was selected to participate in the Cochon Heritage B.B.Q, and National Bourbon Month competition from 4-8 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 7, at 21c Museum Hotel.
Dailey with four other notable chefs, will go head to toe in a globally-influenced barbeque competition to promote the consumption of heritage breed pigs raised by local family farms.
King’s Daughters’ Health will host its annual Run the Falls 5K event at Clifty Falls State Park on Saturday, Sept. 27. The 5K event for runners and walkers will begin at 8 a.m. and feature electronic chip timing for the first time. On-site Registration will open at 7 a.m. on race day.
Proceeds from the Run the Falls 5K event benefit the KDH Girls on the Run program - held each Fall for girls in grades 3-5. Online registration is now available at www.kdhmadison.org.
The 3.1-mile course winds through the park on paved roads.
The Giver: Imagine a world without color. Print 2 photographs of something you love: one in color and one in balck and white. Participants will be entered into a drawing to win tickets to see the movie “The Giver” based on the novel by Lois Lowry. Photos will be on display in September. All ages welcome to enter. Help them stock a home disaster kit including a flashlight and extra batteries, a battery-operated radio, bottled water, non-perishable foods, essential medicines and extra blankets or sleeping bags.
