Steve Hunt has been named Carroll County Memorial Hospital’s April employee of the month. Hunt has been with the hospital for 36 years in the maintenance department. In honoring him, he is credited for being “a hard worker and always pleasant to everyone he comes in contact with.”
The second Poker Run in memory of Mike Gividen will be held Saturday, June 1 (rain date June 8) at noon starting and ending at Kinman’s Chevrolet in Carrollton with meal following being provided. Cost is $20 per poker hand, $5 extra hand. Prize for the winning poker hand is $100, and split the pot will be offered. Registration will be 10:45-11:45 a.m. Cars are welcome to participate. Team “Lots of Love” is on a mission to raise awareness for the American Cancer Society which promotes education, research, and many programs/support groups focusing on dealing with cancer, along with raising money for the Carroll County Relay for Life. The Life Uniform Sale, a fundraiser, sponsored by the Health Occupations Students of America will be held Friday, May 31, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital, 309 11th Street in Carrollton from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.
