  • Blood drive at Dow Corning is March 25

    During Red Cross Month, the American Red Cross will hold a blood donation drive 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 25 at Dow Corning Corp., 4770 U.S. Highway 42 East, in Carrollton.

    Like the emergency room of a hospital, the Red Cross must be prepared to respond to patient needs around the clock.

    Donors can assist by giving blood or platelets, volunteering, taking a class or making a financial donation

    With the generous support of blood donors, the Red Cross can help ensure all patients have the blood products they need, no matter when or where.

  • Family welcomes baby son Feb. 10

    Crystal and Derrick Willis of Carrollton would like to announce the birth of their son, Levi Lane Willis, born Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013, at Baptist Northeast in LaGrange, Ky. He weighed 7 pounds 9 ounces and was 21 inches long.

    Maternal grandparents are Janice and Tim Tritsch of Carrollton and  great-grandmother, Hazel Tritsch of Florence, Ky.

    Paternal grandparents are Bulinda and Larry Willis of Ghent, Ky. And great-grandmother Mary Willis of Carrollton.

  • Davis, Hays win ‘Cutie Pie’ titles

    Kroger’s Relay For Life “Cutie Pie Contest” has ended, and the winners are: first place girls, Grace Annabelle Davis, 6-week-old daughter of Nathan and Crystal Davis; second place girls, Lulu Tharp, 1-year-old daughter of Jeff Tharp and Glenna Dellaquila; third place girls, Kaylee Belle Kapecki, 1-year-old daughter of Robert and Katie Kapecki and first place boys winner is Channing Hays, three-month-old son of Deidra  Harlow and Jimmy Hays.
    Kroger’s Relay Team appreciates the support of all the Cutie Pies who participated in the contest.
