Hello once again my friends. Another month has gone by, the snow and ice are still here and, well, not much seems to have changed. Winter doldrums are in full effect.
On a brighter note, spring is just around the corner. I even noticed my Easter lilies popping up with the last warm spell we had. It is certainly nice to see some green when everything seems so brown and blah.
The Raising Awareness Through Education Rock Fundraiser begins at 5 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Camp Kysoc in Carrollton.
The purpose is to raise money for mental illness research and to raise awareness for the various types of mental illnesses through a non-profit organization known as the National Alliance for Mental Illness.
Team RATE’s goal is to raise $1,000 by the NAMI 5k walk/run in May that will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio.
