  • Wonderful food at home, out highlighted trip

We recently returned from visiting our son in Moore, Okla. Scott lives just three miles from Toby Keith, and yes we saw his home.

Keith has the largest American Flag flying in his yard that I have ever seen. That man is very well thought of in Oklahoma.

It is always such a pleasure for us to visit Scott because he goes out of his way to prepare special meals for us. He does do a good job of impressing his mother with his culinary talents. Wonder where he learned how to cook so well?

I hope you are surviving the heat. I also hope everyone has finally been able to get their gardens planted.

Our tomato plants look like they have been beaten to death from all the wind and rains, but we are hoping they will come back to life with a vengeance and produce fantastic fruit.

I have some very cool and refreshing recipes to give you, some I printed some time ago, so you will get a little reminder. Sometimes we forget about some of our old recipes, so it’s time to get them out and use them.
