  • Reynolds’ welcome baby daughter

    Brittany and Steve Reynolds of Carrollton would like to announce the birth of their daughter, Evangeline Elisabeth Reynolds. She was born Dec. 17, 2010, at King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison, Ind. and weighed 8 pounds 1.9 ounces. She was 21 inches long.


    Her six year old big sister, Haven Rebecca, and four year old big brother Harley Scott helped welcome her home.


    Maternal grandparents are Mike and Debbie Supplee of Carrollton.


    Paternal grandmother is Rebecca Reynolds of Worthville.

  • Butcher, Warnott to wed Jan. 22

    Thomas Butcher and Karen Brooks announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter, Tara Beth Butcher to Paul Michael Warnott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Warnott.


    The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Carroll County High School. She is a 2009 graduate of Lexington Community College, Department of Nursing. She is currently employed at UK Hospital in Lexington, Ky.


    The Groom-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Henry Clay High School and is employed at UK Hospital in Lexington.

    Clay and Lisa Cable of Carrollton, would like to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of their daughter, Jacklyn Kay Cable to Brandon Keith Brown, son of Grover and Linda Crawford of Sanders, Ky. and Bryan and Debra Brown of Radcliff, Ky.


    Jacklyn is a 2003 graduate of Carroll County High School and a 2010 graduate of Northern Kentucky University. She is currently employed with Mark Smith State Farm in Carrollton.

  • Easy steps can help winterize the home

    Winterize your home, take the time now to get your home ready for the winter season by following these tips:
    1. Have your heating system checked by a professional annually. This will ensure that your system is working safely and efficiently, which in turn, will save you money. If you heat by wood, clean your fireplace or stove. Have your chimney flue checked for any buildup of creosote and then cleaned to lessen the risk of fire.

  • Wood completes ROTC program

    Second Lieutenant Eli Wood, formerly of Carrollton, graduated Carroll County High School in 1995 has completed the ROTC program while getting his BA in Political Science from Cameron University in Lawton, Okla. He is the son of  Allen Wood of North Carolina and Connie Wood of the Virgin Islands. Wood will be assigned to the 101st Airborne Division in  Ft. Campbell, Ky. after Quartermaster training in Ft. Lee, Va. Wood will attend jump school training in Ft. Bragg, N.C. He has had previous duties in Germany and Iraq, and is currently stationed at Ft. Sill, Okla.
