    Thursday, Sept. 24: Three Rivers Health Department Chronic Disease, self-management program, at Warsaw, 10 a.m.; lunch, 11:30 a.m.; Rummy, 12:30 p.m.

    Friday, Sept. 25: Health rhythm drumming, 10:30 a.m.;  lunch, 11:30 a.m.; Rummy, 12:30 p.m.

    September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, free gift with a new card or renewal. Quilts will be displayed during the month of October. If you would like to share one or two of your quilted items, please ring them to the library between Sept. 15 and Sept. 25. They welcome both new and vintage items. For more information call the library, (502) 732-7020.

    Hello once again, my friends. Here we are, staring fall in the face. All the glorious comfort foods that we love are coming back into season. Before long it will be chili Sunday at lots of households. Mashed potatoes with lots of cream and butter, stews and hearty soups. In essence what I am saying is it’s getting close to my favorite time of year!

  • Caby M. Froman Club

    The Caby M. Froman Club began its 126th year of literary study this past June at Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill.

    Their Program of Study this year will be on the topic of “A Look at the River: Its Timeless Impact and Influence.” 

    The religious study for the year will be on “Judaism from Origins to Exodus: One Man gives birth to a Nation.”
