Carroll County Memorial Hospital will host the Turkey Trot Run 5K/10K and Walk 5K at 8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, rain or shine. The event will be held at the back entrance of General Butler State Resort Park. Registration begins at 7 a.m. Entry fee is $15. Participants must register by Nov. 3, to guarantee a t-shirt. Genell Adler of Milton, Ky. and Elliott Adler of Knoxville, Tenn, announce the engagement and June wedding of their daughter, Nicole Adler of Milton to Aron Price of Carrollton, Ky.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Marjorie Garrett and the late Julian Garrett. She is a 2010 graduate of Trimble County High School and a 2014 graduate of JCTC with an Associate degree in Art. She is currently a student at University of Louisville working toward her Bachelor’s degree in Human Health and Development.

Greg Howard of Carrollton has been named the 2014 Warden of the Year by Commissioner Ledonna Thompson of the Department of Corrections for the state of Kentucky.
Howard is a 23 year veteran of the Department of Corrections.
He worked his way up through the ranks, beginning his career as a correctional officer at the Kentucky State Reformatory. He has served as warden of three institutions, and deputy warden of another. He is currently warden of Luther Luckett Correctional Complex.
Registration for Parks and Recreation Little Rookies basketball will be held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 27-Nov. 7, Monday through Friday at the Parks and Recreation office, located on the third floor of the courthouse.
