    It is Dec. 1 alreadyand only 24 more days until Christmas. Have you started thinking about what you will serve guests for a night of singing Christmas carols or just having a few of your neighbors over for a little get together? To help get you started, I have a few suggestions that have worked well for me, some of my favorites. I give you

    Ham and Cheese Quiche

    Makes 15 appetizers
    1 egg
    1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
    2 Tablespoons small diced cooked ham
    2 Tablespoons small diced red bell pepper

  • Butler Park restaurant now following new winter hours

    Two Rivers Restaurant at General Butler State Resort Park is now operating with new winter hours, as part of cutbacks required in the state of Kentucky.

    The restaurant is open Sundays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Mondays and Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

    On Wednesdays, Two Rivers operates from 11:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m. and 5-8 p.m.

    Hours for Thursday, Friday and Saturday are 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5-8 p.m.

    The new hours will run from Nov. 21 through March 15

  • Stoops accepted in honor society

    Christin Stoops, daughter of Arthur and Denia Stoops of Carrollton, recently accepted membership in Golden Key International Honour Society at a recent new member recognition event at Northern Kentucky University. The society provides academic recognition to top-performing college and university students, as well as scholarships and awards, job and internship offerings, networking, service and leadership development opportunities Stoops is a sophomore at NKU.
