General Butler State Resort Park, Friends of Butler and the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce hosted a networking event March 10, called “Business After Hours” at the park. Community organizations and business owners were invited to attend.
The pirates are coming to Carroll County High School March 20-21, as “The Pirate of Penzance” will take the Carroll County High School stage.
Director Jennifer Beach said the capability of this group was right to revive the performance, which was last performed in 2010. It takes a special performer for the role of Mabel, who will be played by Kathryn Gillespie, Beach said. The cast loves the play and has been very enthusiastic, even researching roles on their own.
Easter silent auction baskets to benefit the Carrollton Relay For Life, will be up for bid at the Carrollton, Kroger. Highest bid will receive the basket. You may review and bid on the baskets from now until March 24. All baskets are located behind the U scans at Kroger and have individual themes, such as: Doc McStufins, Frozen, Sofia the First, Cars & Planes and Ninja Turtles.
The Carroll County Circuit Clerk’s Office will be closed on Tuesday, March 17, for an infrastructure upgrade.
The Administrative Office of the Courts launched the infrastructure project months ago as part of the Kentucky eCourt Program. The eCourt infrastructure upgrade will encompass networks, servers and end-user devices with the goal to replace the courts system’s aging infrastructure and facilitate the expansion of eFiling statewide.
