    The Carroll County Public Library is located at 136 Court Street in Carrollton.

    Artists from Carroll County High School and other Northern Kentucky high schools will exhibit work through the month of March in a variety of media. Awards in several categories will be given by the general Federation of women’s clubs of Kentucky.

    Yoga for Every body!, no matter what your body type, age or skill level, yoga is for every body. Tiffany Boutwell will modify or adapt poses to meet individual needs, Thursday mornings, 9:35 a.m. Please bring a mat.

  • Massie speaking at Rotary meeting March 28

    Fourth District U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Garrison, will be the guest speaker for the Rotary Club of Carrollton meeting at 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 28.

    The program is open to the public and everyone is welcome to attend. The meeting will be held in the Burley Room, just off the Two Rivers Restaurant at General Butler State Resort Park.

    “This is the second time our Rotary Club has hosted Rep. Massie,” Moore said. “We hope local residents who are interested in hearing from the Congressman will attend this meeting.”

  • Visiting the Homeland: Robert and John Howe of Carrollton travel to Ireland, 1876

    To celebrate the coming of St. Patrick’s Day, today we visit Ireland through the eyes of two brothers, sons of Irish immigrants John Howe and his wife Sarah Brown. John and Sarah left Ireland in 1847 for America. In Spring 1859, they moved to Carrollton, where they remained for the rest of their lives.

  • Free chili

    Westside Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary hosts a free chili give away from noon-2 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at U.S. Bank, located at the corner of Fifth Street and Highland Avenue. Free chili, sandwich and drink compliments of the Ladies Auxiliary.

    Congratulation to Amanda Rockwell. She was the winner of the Valentine’s Day basket raffle, sponsored by Westside Volunteer Fire Department.
