    Friday, Nov. 10: Veteran’s Day, center is closed.

    Monday, Nov. 13: Three Rivers Health Department, Ruth Kincaid, 9:30 a.m.; Arthritis exercise, 10:30 a.m.; chair volleyball,12:30 p.m.; Friends Helping Friends, weight loss support group meets, 4:30 p.m.

  • Honoring veterans

    The American Legion Post 41 Honor Guard is hosting a Veterans Day ceremony at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at the General Butler State Resort Park veterans memorial. 

  • Caby Froman Club learns about the history of the Stone-Campbell church

    The September meeting of the Caby M. Froman Club was held at the General Butler State Resort Park. Treasurer Pam Froman presided over the meeting due to the absence of the President Sandra Thomas. There were eight members present for the meeting. The hostesses for the meeting were Peggy Ogburn and Patricia Hersey.

    The Religious Study was presented by Dr. Elizabeth Jones on “The Christian Churches of Kentucky.”

  • Hill, Robison announce birth of their daughter Ella

    Jared Andrew Hill of Carrollton and Alicia Ariel Robison of Campbellsburg would like to announce the birth of their daughter, Ella Eden Claire Hill, born Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017, at Norton Hospital Downtown. She weighed 6 pounds 6 ounces and measured 18.5 inches long.

    Ella is the sister of Aidan Davis Robison Hill and the granddaughter of Tony D. Chisholm of Campbellsburg; the late Alicia D. Robison Chisholm; Tony Hill of Carrollton; Mary Nelson Brannick of Carrollton and the late Mark Brannick.

  • CCPL partners with KCTCS to offer ESL classes, GED help

    Resources can be limited in small communities like Carroll County. Over the years, I have begun to understand that partnerships really help strengthen the foundation of many organizations. One of the great things about our community is how we can come together when needed. This can be in the face of adversity or rallying around a good cause. Partnerships have been the cornerstone of the Carroll County Public Library for many years.

    The Carroll County Public Library is located at 136 Court Street in Carrollton. Every day after school, the community room is open to tweens and teens to relax, visit with friends and enjoy activities, snacks, games, movies, Netflix, etc. Virtual Reality games are popular and they will have new ones to try out, Monday through Friday from 3:30 – 5 p.m.

    Make ornaments throughout the month of November after Story Hour and Music Makers to decorate the Christmas tree at General Butler State Resort Park Lodge, Nov. 30.
