  • Cutie Pie Winners | April 2, 2015

    Kroger Relay for Life held its annual “Cutie Pie” contest.

    In the boy’s category, the winner was Mason McMurry, son of Natalie McMurry and great-grandson of Gene and Sue McMurry.

    In the girls category the winner was Genesis Hollingsworth, daughter of Holly Hollingsworth.

  • Free art classes in April

    RiverRunArtGallery, 449 Main St., in Carrollton is offering a lunch and learn every Friday at noon in April.  Participants are invited to bring a lunch if they choose and watch as Sharon Graves,  local artist and gallery owner teaches them about painting.  Classes are free. There will be no lunch and learn on Friday, April 24.

  • Healthcare expo April 18

    Carroll County Area Technology Center will host a healthcare expo from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 18. See what local healthcare services are available in the area. The CCATC is located at 1704 Highland Ave., Carrollton.

    Healthcare students will be available to provide blood pressure screenings, and different businesses will be on hand to provide information and to answer questions.
