You may wonder what I have been doing since my last column. I can honestly tell you…everything. I’ve taken up knitting again, which I probably haven’t done for more than 30 years. It really helps with the evening snacking issue, too. Who wants to get their hands all gooey with something sweet and knit at the same time? Me!
Carroll County Animal Support will have a booth in the vendors tent at A Christmas Carroll this Saturday, Dec. 1.
Additionally, several “meet and greets” are planned at the VF Outlet mall on Hwy. 227, during which adoptable pets will be available. Applications for adoption also will be available to anyone interested in giving one of the dogs or cats in foster care a permanent home.
The meet-and-greets are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, Dec. 1-2, 8-9, 15-16 and 22-23, in the mall lobby. For more information, call (502) 732-6040.

This year’s winner of the Rev Up Your Engines sales contest in October was Earl Floyd Ford. The contest, between the Ford dealership and Herb Kinman Chevrolet, donates $25 to CCAS for every vehicle sold during the month.
