Carroll County Relay For Life Team Robbins will be kicking off its 2013 fundraising campaign with a 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Nov. 17, at the back entrance of General Butler State Resort Park, near the stone shelter.
Registration begins at 7 a.m. with the race beginning at 8 a.m Registration fee the day of the race is $20, but if you would like to pre-register please contact Haley Franklin at (502) 525-3571 or firstname.lastname@example.org and receive a discounted registration fee of $15.
Carrollton Main Street Program will again sponsor the 7th annual Visions of Sugar Plums bake-off at A Christmas Carroll on Dec. 1. First, second and third prizes will be awarded in four categories: cakes, pies, cookies and miscellaneous.Plus there is a youth cookie category for 12 and under.
The event will be held at McNeal’s, with a range to be given away as the grand prize.

Carroll County Chamber of Commerce is now seeking entries for the 2012 A Christmas Carroll Parade Dec. 1 at 11 a.m.
It is free to enter and take part in the parade. The chamber welcomes any business, church, organization or individual wanting to particpate. Prizes will be awarded for the best entries. Contact the chamber for details.
As a reminder, no entries are allowed to have Santa costumes because the real Santa Claus will be in the parade.
