This has been a very busy week and emotional, at that. My daughter, her fiancé and my grandson moved to New Jersey. After having them in the area for the past seven years, it was very hard to say goodbye. But on the other hand, we are very excited for them. They are off to new adventures.
The annual reunion for all who have attended or graduated from Campbelsburg High School will be held Saturday, Sept. 3, at Providence Baptist Church, in Campbellsburg.
Meet and greet your friends from 4-6 p.m.; snacks will be provided. The program starts at 6 p.m.

Carrollton Rotary Club’s 10th annual Scholarship Golf Scramble will host two flights of teams Wednesday, Sept. 14, at General Butler State Resort Park golf course.
The event, sponsored by Irving Materials Inc., raises funds for college scholarships that the club awards to graduating Carroll County seniors. Last year $9,000, the club awarded in scholarships.
Six-person teams are invited to play for $450 with 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. tee times. Complimentary lunch will be prepared by Rotarian Barry Cook.
Rosie Navarro and Steve Bush, both of Warsaw, Ky., announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter, Jessica Bush of Turners Station, Ky., to Chris Perry of Turners Station, son of Bob Perry and Dorothy Perry, both of Carrollton, Ky.
The bride-elect attended Gallatin County High School. The groom-to-be attended Carroll County High School.
The wedding will take place at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at English Baptist Church, 3449 Hwy 389, in Carrollton. A reception will be held immediately following the ceremony. All family and friends are invited to attend.
The pool at Robert Westrick County Park is now open only on weekends.
Pool hours are noon to 5:30 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday.
