The Carroll County Public Library is hosting Summer Reading 2015. Children of all ages are welcome to sign-up. Weekly prizes will be awarded for children’s progress on their reading logs. All logs must be turned in by July 24. For more information call the library, (502) 732-7020.

Andrew Stethen, son of Michael and Donna Stethen of Bedford, Ky. graduated from Bellarmine University on May 9, 2015, with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree.
Stethen graduated from Trimble County High School in 2003, Western Kentucky University in 2007, with a bachelor’s of science degree in exercise science and the University of Arkansas in 2009, with a master’s of science degree in athletic training.

Larry and Susan Beach of Carrollton announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter, Melanie Beach, to Frank Thieman.
Melanie is a third grade teacher at Cartmell Elementary.
Frank is the son of Martha Thieman of Carrollton and the Late Franklin Thieman. Frank is a water plant supervisor at Carrollton Utilities. The couple will wed Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Riverside Inn in Warsaw, Ky.
A reception will immediately follow. Invitations have been sent to family and friends.
Making end-of-life plans now will be beneficial to family members later.
“The Kitchen Table Conversation” returns for its second year to help empower people to start thinking about end-of-life decisions now, said Starlette Fowler, a liaison for the program and a nurse at Hospice of the Bluegrass.
