Carroll County Public Library will present its annual Mary Ann Gentry Memorial Art Show during May. Entries will be accepted from April 15-May 3, from both past and new exhibitors. For information, call the library at (502) 732-7020.
The second Food Pantry Benefit will be held at 6 p.m. April 20 at the Carroll County Middle School Auditorium. The Infinite Realm will be hosting the gospel sing with performers from Christian Academy of Carrollton and local favorite, Helen Mumphrey as special guests. Admission is $10 for 18 and over, $5 for ages 6-17 and under 6 are free. $1 will be deducted from the admission price for each can of food brought in.
On April 2, the Carrollton Woman’s Club met at Pats’ Place on Seminary Street.
Eight members said the pledge to the flag. Co-hostess Carolyn Stout called the meeting to order and introduced the program chairwoman Karen Claiborne. Claiborne introduced the club members to a Jeopardy type game concerning information about the papal election. Members were split into two very competitive teams each picking questions from six categories. They learned a lot and had a fun time learning.
General Butler State Resort Park will host its second Mudathlon® – a 3-mile, 40-obstacle course seeking as much natural and muddy terrain as possible – on Saturday, May 11.
