  • Disabled? Turning 65 this year? Apply for Homestead Exemption

Carroll County Property Valuation Administrator Rob Robertson announced that the Homestead Exemption on real estate for the 2013-14 exemption represents a $2,000 increase over the 2011-12 exemption.

This means that eligible property owners will not pay taxes on the first $36,000 of their assessment.

Carroll County tax rates for 2013 haven’t been set, so an exact amount of savings to persons receiving the exemption cannot be determined.
