As part of Heart Month, King’s Daughters’ Health will host a free community program entitled “Be Heart Smart” from noon until 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 27 in the Conference Center at the hospital. A healthy lunch will be provided at no charge.
Dr. Thomas Tu, Cardiologist, will discuss heart disease, heart failure, and heart disease prevention. Participants will have time to ask questions.

Lt. Col. Mike Yocum was promoted to the rank of colonel in the U.S. Army in a ceremony Jan. 10, at Fort Belvoir, Va. Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Force Management and Manpower Gwen DeFilippi presided over the ceremony.
Yocum was born in Carroll County and is the son of Jim and Shelby Yocum of Harrodsburg.
The John A. Roebling Bridge, located in Kenton County, will be featured in a brief segment on Kentucky Life on KET Saturday at 8 p.m. It will repeat on KET at 4 p.m. Sunday and on KET2 at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11.
The show also will be carried on KETKY at 6 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday, at 8 a.m. Feb. 12, 9:30 p.m. Feb. 13, 12:30 p.m. Feb. 14 and 6 a.m. Feb. 15.
