Eric Popp recently joined the esteemed list of Carroll County Boy Scouts earning the rank of Eagle Scout.
For his Eagle Scout project, Popp rerouted part of the Boy Scout trail at General Butler State Resort Park.
“The trail was a little steep coming off the bridge and the slope was always muddy,” Popp said. “The change has made the trail easier to maneuver. We added about 500 feet to the trail, as we followed a deer path.”
The Pioneer Power Club hosted its annual tractor and equipment show May 6-7, at Point Park. The event attracted hundreds from as far away as New York. Organizers of the event stress that the annual show is a family event and they work to hold many events just for young tractor lovers, along with the adults.
The Carroll County High School band will be performing their spring concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 15, in the high school gymnasium. The concert will include performances by the high school concert band, symphonic band, jazz band, percussion ensemble and steel band.
