  • CCRTA met Nov. 20 at Relevant

    Carroll County Retired Teachers Association met Nov. 20, at the Relevant Church gym, with 10 members present.

    In order to have money for the scholarship fund, some of the members prepared and donated the food for lunch. A small fee is charged for lunch, which goes toward the scholarship fund.

    The minutes of the September meeting were read by secretary Donna Wallace and approved. The treasurer’s report was given and approved.

  • Carroll County Public Library | Nov. 26, 2015

    In November and December you can help the Library give to one of three local charities while paying off your fines. From Nov. 16-30 they will accept diapers and baby wipes for the Haven of Hope. Dec. 1-19 they will accept toothpaste and toothbrushes, women’s deodorant and laundry detergent for the NKY Community Action Center of Carroll County. For more information call the library, (502) 732-7020.

    Hello once again, my friends. As I type this, it’s still in the 60s outside. Who would have thought that in November that would still be the case? As with most things it seems the out of the ordinary is becoming the ordinary. That being said, I’m sure lots of people would certainly take these temperatures all winter long.

  • Consider a donation of blood to Red Cross

    The American Red Cross encourages individuals and organizations to give something that means something this winter by making a lifesaving blood donation or hosting a blood drive.

  • KYTC Division of Planning seeks input

    The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is seeking input on the updated “Public Involvement Process for Statewide Transportation Planning and Project Delivery:  Interested Parties, Public Involvement and Consultation Process” document.

    From Nov. 16, 2015, to Jan. 1, 2016, members of the public can review the draft document and provide comments through a short confidential survey. The document and survey are available at: http://yourturn.transportation.ky.gov or by paper copy at the following locations:

    Matt Adams and Tiffany Riley are proud to announce the birth of their son, Rystin Avery Adams, born Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015, at 5:14 a.m. at the Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange, Ky. He weighed 5 pounds 9 ounces and was 20.5 inches long.

    His 7-year-old big sister, Ryleigh, and 2-year-old big brother, Ryker, helped welcome him home.
