Workers who sustain injuries on the job will find a new face at Carroll County Memorial Hospital ready to assist them with their recovery.
Dr. Sherrell Nunnelley assumed his full-time role as medical director of occupational medicine two weeks ago, but he has been working at CCMH a couple of days each week for the past two months.
“For the past 20 years, I have been taking care of all kinds of injuries,” Nunnelley said.
Relay for Life Pageant will be held Saturday, April 23 and open to everyone fitting the age requirements.
Age categories are: pre-teen, 8-11; teen: 12-15; and miss, 16-21. The entry fee is $25 for pre-teen and teen, and $30 for miss. All proceeds go to Relay for Life.
The pageant will be held in the auditorium at Carroll County Middle School. Admission is $3 and free for children 5 and under.

The groom-to-be is a 1991 graduate of Owen County High School in Owenton, Ky. and is employed as an assistant manager for Hometown Pizza.
Cookies were in order for a recent event Bob and I attended, and I was designated to either buy or make them.
It was for a very special meeting and I was told not to go out of my way to make the cookies. Well, many of you know me, I just cannot let a special meeting happen with store bought cookies. (Although, I can still remember those chocolate covered marshmallow cookies my father would buy; they were so good. Making cookies is like therapy for me, well, actually any kind of baking is therapy for me. Therefore, I was on for the challenge of baking at least 100 cookies.
Patsy Knigga, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Oscar Knigga of Ghent, Ky. married Kenneth Massey her longtime sweetheart at the Ghent Baptist Church on March 21, 1954. Her matron of honor was Mary Lou Smith and best man was Steve Massey, the brother of the groom.
