Jason and Lindsay Noble of Carrollton would like to announce the birth of their son, William Thomas Noble, born Nov. 11, 2010, at 5:04 p.m. at Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange, Ky. He weighed 7 pounds 11 ounces and was 20 inches long.

We are halfway through the month of February, have you started getting those tugs of Spring Fever? The spring gardening catalogs have already inundated our mail, which makes me daydream about warmer days. I probably have gone through them at least five or six times at this point, especially the section on herbs. They are okay dried, but I just love them fresh. I could almost smell them through the pages of the catalog.
Thousands of landowners across Kentucky have received state assistance through the Kentucky Soil Erosion and Water Quality Cost Share program. This program assists landowners with implantation of best management practices to preserve the soil and water resources on their property.
Since the program began, more than $113 million has been approved for use in all of Kentucky’s 120 counties. The sign up period for upcoming projects has been announced as Feb. 1-28.
The community is invited to a benefit party in honor of Kameron Nab. The party will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 16, from 5-7 p.m. at the Carroll County Middle School Cafeteria.
