Feed the Children and Speedway Children’s Charities will host a free food distribution event Aug. 14 at Carroll County High School. Volunteers will need to be on site at 8 a.m. to unload the truck. A meeting for volunteers will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 29, at First Baptist Church in Carrollton.
Eligible families will receive vouchers from Carroll County Schools for food, and pick up will be held from 10 a.m.-noon at the high school parking lot near the athletics fields. Signs will be posted to help direct traffic, which will enter from Hwy. 227.

The Carroll County High School classes of 1978 and 1979 are making plans for a joint reunion on Sept. 20, 2014 at Camp Kysoc, Carrollton, Ky.

Kynect, Kentucky’s health insurance marketplace, will have open sign up at the Carroll County Public Library every other Monday from 3-6 p.m., starting July 14. Submit an eligibility application — you may qualify for a no-cost insurance plan or a special enrollment period.
