Charities in Carroll, Gallatin, Henry, Owen and Trimble Counties have until noon on May 31 to apply for funding through the Ohio Valley United Charities for 2013 year projects.
Non-profit organizations with an IRS 501-c-3 approval letter that serve the general public in the five counties are eligible for funding, fund raising vice-president Malcolm Carraco said. To apply, the charity must complete an application and provide supporting documentation on its financial operations and the programs or projects that it is requesting funding for.
Rick and Radonna Thornton, of Bardstown, Ky. announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter, Felicia Marie Smith of Port Royal, Ky. to Michael Dale Rabourn of Port Royal, son of Rodney and Nicole Rabourn of Carrollton Ky.
The bride-to-be is a 2009 graduate of Henry County High School and currently attends Jefferson Community Technical College in Carrollton where she is majoring in nursing. She is employed part time by both Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton and Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville as a nurse’s aid.
Bill and Dianna Koerner of Lebanon, Ind. would like to announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter, Lisa M. Koerner of Carrollton, to Bryant W. Hunger of Carrollton, son of Renee Hunger of Madison, Ind. and James and Jennifer Hunger of Scottsburg, Ind.
The bride-to-be is a 2006 graduate of University High School in Carmel, Ind. and a 2010 graduate of Hanover College in Hanover, Ind. with a major in chemistry and minors in biology and communications. She is currently employed at Dow Corning as a Quality Assurance Technician.
Our friends from Virginia stopped in to visit us while on their way to Indiana. Since I haven’t been home too long, I hadn’t really caught up on my grocery shopping and just getting things back in order.
