  • Family welcomes baby daughter, Ariel Lavon Williams

    Kenneth and Opal Williams of Carrollton would like to announce the birth of their daughter, Ariel Lavon Williams born Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Baptist Health in LaGrange, Ky. at 12:08 p.m. She weighed 6 pounds 5 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.

    Brothers, Kenneth, 5, and Steven Murphy, 24 and sister, Ashley, 19, welcomed Ariel home.

    Maternal grandparents are, Rita Frazier of Worthville, Ky. and the late Rev. Leonard Robertson.

    Paternal grandparents are, Jennie and Thomas Long and Kenneth and Nancy Williams all of Carrollton.

  • Red Cross to hold two blood drive events in Carroll County this May

    May 8 is World Red Cross Day, and the American Red Cross encourages eligible individuals to celebrate by donating lifesaving blood in their communities. The need is constant, and all blood types are needed, especially O negative, B negative and A negative.

    Upcoming blood donation opportunities for Carroll County will be from 9 a.m.- 2 p.m., Thursday, May 2  at Carroll County High School, 1706 Highland Avenue, and from 3 - 8 p.m., Thursday, May 9  at Relevant Church, 2505 Highland Avenue, both in Carrollton
