  • Living close to God

In this life we should all desire to live close to God! God has made a statement of love when he sent Jesus for us. When God made that move, not only can we have eternal life with God in heaven but avoid a Hell that we all deserve.

One great feature of being a Christian is that we have open communication with Our Father.

  • Is God involved with his creation?

It is an obvious fact that God created everything in our world and was pleased with his work. One of the well known arguments to that is the theory of evolution. But a less well known argument is that God is not actively involved with his creation. This theory is just as false as the theory of evolution.

Since God as creator is the explanation for the existence of the world and for human existence, it is creation that establishes our deepest and most essential relation to God: as creator and thus Lord.

  • Liturgy and our encounter with God

What a sweet consolation it is when we feel close to God in liturgy, with the help perhaps of inspiring music or a challenging homily or a strong connection with members of the assembly. But what happens when such consolations are not our regular experience? How can we encounter God in liturgy even when we’re not feeling “fed”? Such a question is familiar territory for most catechists.
